Після короткого ХХ століття: глобальний поступ верховенства права

Чому верховенство права є настільки гарячою темою сьогодення у всьому світі? У цій статті запропоновано відповідь на це питання через розкриття таких аспектів: 1) глобальний поступ концепції тільки наприкінці минулого століття пов’язано із ідеологічним конфліктом між комунізмом і ліберальним капіталізмом, що не залишав місця ні для чого іншого; 2) місце звільнилося для верховенства права у зв’язку з ідеологічним розчаруванням, що настало наприкінці минулого століття; 3) поступ верховенства права різко зріс завдяки ганебному і повному краху європейського комунізму і очевидній перемозі ліберальної демократії; 4) тим не менше, це не «кінець історії» — ані в цілому, ані в поширенні верховенства права. Стаття завершується аналізом деяких гіпотез щодо подій, які можуть визначити майбутнє верховенства права.
